Installing on macOS
FirstPass for macOS is code-signed and notarized by Apple, so it should open
normally. Open the downloaded .dmg, drag FirstPass to Applications, and
launch it from Applications.
If macOS ever says the app "can't be opened":
- Make sure you dragged it to Applications and are opening it from there (not from inside the mounted disk image).
- If a warning still appears, right-click (or Control-click) the app and choose Open, then confirm — this clears the one-time Gatekeeper prompt.
FFmpeg (used for video processing) ships inside the app on the packaged build, so there's nothing extra to install.
If the app won't launch at all, contact support with your macOS version and we'll help.
