Getting the cut you want

FirstPass makes a first pass — a strong starting point you shape, not a locked final. If the first result isn't right:

• Refine it in place. On the results screen, tell it what to change in plain language ("tighten the opener", "remove the part about pricing", "stronger close"). It builds a new take without re-transcribing, so it's quick and free.
• Use "Tighten pauses & fillers" for a fast cleanup pass.
• Sharpen the brief and re-cut. The more specific your brief (the story, tone, and moments you want), the sharper the pass. Re-cutting the same footage is free.
• Best-moments reel vs. story cut. If you want every strong answer rather than one finished narrative, switch the mode in the brief.

Each attempt is saved as a numbered take, so you can compare and go back. If the tool consistently misses something you expected, tell support what you were going for — that feedback improves the product.
